Deep Red Course:
What is Deep Red About?
Deep Red is an intensive five month experience of nourishing your whole self on Jesus. His words, His practices, and His presence.
Deep Red is designed to deepen your communion with God, within a group of fellow apprentices. It is a five month journey seeking further transformation into the image of Christ. Since communion and transformation are integrally linked with knowing Jesus and knowing self as Jesus prayed in John 17:3"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent, and as Augustine prayed "Grant Lord that I might know myself and that I might know Thee" is certainly the hope of this process. The course is an invitation and opportunity to cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s purposes in our lives through intentional choices with a group of fellow apprentices.
Thoughtful Scripture
- "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine."
John 15:4
- "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

Who is this course for?
The class is designed for people who are hungry for more of the Trinitarian presence and purposes in their lives. These apprentices need above all else an open and honest heart towards the Trinity and one another. They must be willing to grow in self awareness and self disclosing communion with one another. They must have an open mind and be willing to explore a variety of Christian traditions and engage in a variety of spiritual disciplines which may be outside their past experiences. They must be willing to covenant together to make this journey a priority in their lives for the entire duration of the course.
What are the requirements?
The course includes weekly meetings beginning in the fall of 2008 for a duration of five months and group retreat about three months into the process. Each participant is also asked to make a personal retreat day sometime during the course. During the five months please anticipate spending a minimum of 30 minutes a day in devotional reading, prayer and other spiritual disciplines, personal reflection and journaling.
